Allergy and Immunotherapy

Our allergy services have been proven to help primary care providers enhance the quality, continuity, and convenience of care for both seasonal and perennial allergy patients. Allergen immunotherapy has been in clinical use for over 100 years, offers long-term disease modifying treatment, and has been proven to help reduce or eliminate allergy symptoms, reduce reliance on allergy medications, lower health care costs, and help prevent the development of asthma in children with allergic rhinitis. Customized to each practice for a seamless ease of implementation, our allergy services add new income streams to practices from day one.

Did you know that more than half of all Americans suffer from significant allergies each year? Did you also know that the Primary Care Physician is most often the first stop for these allergy sufferers seeking to resolve their symptoms? Two thirds of allergy sufferers would rather get treatment from a PCP than from an allergist.

DSC’s improves patients’ quality of life by empowering primary care providers and others to provide safe, effective, and customized allergy treatment throughout the United States. We exist to advance the understanding of immunotherapy (IT) as the only known disease-modifying treatment for allergies. We bring effective and convenient allergy testing and immunotherapy to providers that treat the vast majority of patients with seasonal and perennial allergies.

Allergy testing can deliver substantial new revenue to your physician customers and meaningful annuity revenues to your sales organization, sometimes doubling the income of many practices. Our new allergy platform will also provide your physicians the ability to prescribe today’s most easily and consistently adhered-to allergy treatment.

The test measures the concentration of specific IgE antibodies in the blood. Results are usually available within 24 hours. A general rule of thumb is that the higher the IgE antibody value, the greater the likelihood of symptoms. The quantitative allergy blood result can help determine what a patient is allergic to, help predict and follow the disease development, estimate the risk of a severe reaction and explain cross-reactivity. A low total IgE level is not adequate to rule out sensitization to commonly inhaled allergens. Tests for specific IgE antibodies for a carefully chosen list of allergens is often warranted.
